I have been a little absent lately… largely in part to a sweet puppy P and I fell in love with at an animal adoption fair. We decided to do a ‘trial run’ with little miss which was single handedly the wisest thing we have ever done. She was a doll, but unfortunately had terrible bladder/ stomach issues and a need to chew, chew, chew everything… including my plants. We decided, after many sleepless nights and waking up/ coming home to awful messes (thank goodness not on the carpet) that she would do best with another family who had a great deal of time to devote to her. We had considered getting another dog so Sebastian could have a buddy during the day, but he made it very clear that he prefers to be an only child and was not happy with any other creature that would take our attention away from him. So, while we will surely miss that cuddly little lady, we are extremely content with the furry love of our life Sebastian. And he is quite happy to have an unlimited amount of belly rubs and head massages in his future. To tame his wild only-child tendencies, however, we will be starting obendience class within the next two weeks!
Little Miss Lola Bean
Please excuse my crazy bed hair. And too-short pajama shorts.
Again, please excuse my hair and seriously strange facial expression.
Our long weekend found us time for game playing, sun lounging and beer drinking (For the record, I won this game of Phase 10 in overtime. By 5 points. And Preston was NOT happy about it! ;))
For the Fourth of July, we headed to Coronado Island and had so much fun exploring! It was beautiful and sunny and full of the cutest houses!
Hope your weekend and Independence Day were fabuolous – and hopefully included less puppy-related messes than ours! And if you are wondering why today is such a happy day – well, we both got to sleep through the night, wake up to no damages and I get to see the most wonderful people in the world tomorrow!
